Connecticut freshman Daniel Claxton cleared 6-11.75 (2.13m) to place second in the men's high jump at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships at Hayes Track at the Haugh Complex in Bloomington, Ind. Claxton already had the standard of 7-1 (2.16m) to compete July 10-15 at the IAAF World U-20 Championships in Tampere, Finland.
